The island of Pag is a 63 km long and 5 km wide island of the Adriatic sea, covering an area of 284 square kilometers. Novalja (read: Novalya) is a town in the north of the island of Pag in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. With approximately 3,350 inhabitants, Novalja is known as a popular holiday destination due to its pristine beaches and crystal clear sea.
The Island of Pag has over the years become one of the most famous Croatian islands. Zadar airport is the closest airport to Novalja and it's around 85 km away. Ryanair flies to Zadar airport directly from London Stansted. It is also possible to travel by Croatia Airlines. We recommend flying to Zadar if you want to come to Novalja or anywhere on the island of Pag as it has the easiest, cheapest and shortest transfer time to the resort. Access to Novalja from the north of Croatia, including Pula airport and Rijeka airport, is fairly easy due to the ferry connection, which operates throughout the summer on the line Continent (Prizna) - Island of Pag (Žigljen). The ferry operates around the clock, being run 13 times daily in both directions (times: 05:30 to 22:30).
