Located east of Novalja, on the site of the Roman city, which, according to the legend, sank into the sea during an earthquake in the fourth century. The ruins of the city are located near the beach. The beach is mainly sandy, with some gravel parts. The shore here is very steep, sloping very deeply. On the beach, there are restaurants and some recreational activities.

Planjka is a beautiful sandy beach located in the northwest of Novalja, along the east coast of Stara Novalja. The beach is covered with fine sand. The beach is being maintained very well, therefore, it's perfect for families with young children. It has many restaurants, as well as sports and leisure facilities. Since the summer of 2004, the beach has been blue-flagged.

Prnjica beach is very close to Zrće beach. It's accessible from the main road, very close to the city center of Novalja, but away from the city fuss. It's accessible on foot, but we recommend using a boat or car. Mind that there's a parking fee for cars.
